After very successful completion of the pilot project of training 10 Delhi schools in Mushroom cultivation from organic waste different varieties - I gained valuable experience under Dr. P.N.Chowdhry, Principal Scientist (Retd.), IARI who offered his invaluable services as a private consultant. I have had the honour and privilege to associate myself as the chief co-ordinator of the training programs in mushroom cultivation for schools in Delhi. The funds were provided by the Dept. of Environment, NCT, Delhi. The school was also ranked one of the best eco-clubs and received the honours through the Chief Minister of Delhi, Smt. Sheela Dikshit. 80 Delhi schools have so far been trained in Mushroom Cultivation. The
project was sanctioned / sponsored by Department of Environment, Govt. of NCT, Delhi,
Delhi Secretariat, I.P. Estate, New Delhi 110 002. It had the blessings of the honourable CM, the Secretary and other executives in the Dept. of Environment, NCT. I am presently at DTEA, Pusa Road. We will be training 20 more schools this year at the school.
At present cultivating Oyster Mushrooms and Agaricus at DTEA, Pusa Road. Participated in the eco meet held at Talkatora Stadium on 12th and 13th Feb 2013.Propose to conduct training program on Mushroom cultivation for 25 schools at Pusa Road on 27th Feb. 2013.
